BAO's Flight Shop
When's it due to be released?
The following information was downloaded from BAO's BBS:
Flight Shop Information
Release Date: Second Quarter 1995
Description: "The power package for Flight Simulator power pilots."
Flight Simulator Flight Shop is an advanced aircraft, adventure, and flight
plan design package for Microsoft Flight Simulator v.5 pilots. It provides
the tools you need to create the ultimate flight experience.
You'll be able to construct and test fly all kinds of visual models, from
hang gliders to stealth bombers. Or, if you just can't wait to get into the
air, a variety of ready-to-fly aircraft are included, so you can get
airborne immediately. And for the exterior of your aeronautical
masterpiece, the paint shop feature lets you add your personal artistic
touch by allowing you to apply textures to your aircraft for the ultimate
in customization.
You can share your designs with others who have purchased Flight Shop, and
you can even use downloadable aircraft designs from various bulletin board
services. (see below for details)
Also inside Flight Shop, you'll find a flight path editor and other
adventure-generating tools to get you on your way, or you can take off on
one of the pre-compiled adventures included in the program. And remember,
the flight planning database included with Flight Shop has every public
airport in the U.S.
Adventure and flight plan design features bring life and interaction to
your flights. They let you customize your own flight experiences and set
goals, including random events and possibly voice and visual feedback and
rewards. Your own adventures can be as simple as a readout of your altitude
above the ground, or be as complicated as an air traffic controlled flight,
complete with interactive commands between you and the simulated air
traffic controller. Convert your flight plans into fully interactive,
digitized voice air traffic control, from clearance to tie-down, and share
custom adventures with friends on various bulletin boards.

This is the text from BAO's add in Full Throttle Magazine:
An easy-to-use (windows-based) aircraft factory lets you design your own
plane.
Flight Simulator Flight Shop puts the tools in your hands. You build,
customize and paint your own planes and a flight dynamics editor allows you
to specify the flight characteristics. Share your designs with other flight
enthusiasts through BBS's such as CompuServe. Create your own flight plan
and send it to the built-in Flight Service Station (FSS) and then hop in
your flight simulator airplane for an ATC controlled flight.
